Scrap Galaxy was picked for the video game tournament ”Omegathon”, which has been a highlight of the American video game conference PAX since 2006.

Scrap Galaxy is a local build-and-destroy indie game for up to four players. The 2D top-down shooter takes place in spice at a galactic junkyard where players try to survive by constructing space ships.

The game was created by Swedish developers Catalope Games and the incubation company Spearhead Nordic, located in Viborg, has since jumped on board as marketing partners.

The Omegathon

During December, the team learned that the game had been picked for the video game tournament “Omegathon”, which takes place at the American game conference PAX (January 12-14, 2018).

The Omegathon is a three-day elimination tournament where 20 players compete in games from different categories (tabletop, console, and PC). The event culminates in a live championship match on the main stage during PAX’s closing ceremony.

Scrap Galaxy was featured in round four, reducing the total number of competitors to four.
